do people change because of an event in life?

yes and no

i realise that at the initial part, the answer to the previous question will be yes. one mite inspire to change, or say he/she will learnt from it. this is the most crucial part. if one wants to change, this is the turning point, full reversal, 360 degrees.

otherwise, its all back to personality.

one who whines will whine thru out his/her life. from sucky school, to sucky workplace. everything is fucked up but not themselves.

an optimist will stay optimistic even when he/she ends up being a paraplegic, life is full of living.
