ignorance

i want to be geographically somewhere else, for a while. this island i'm in is full of ignorant residents, and when they know one bit, they inexplicably become condescending. i'm fast being a product of this factory if i don't take a break from here.

i can't say i have travelled far and wide, although i wished too. but there's nowhere else i remember, where smiling to strangers is a crime. females will think i'm trying my luck, males will think i'm gay. and when you rush to a lift that is closing, they'll pretend they don't see you. a mugger, i am, NOT! and when you're in the lift, everyone avoids the buttons, cos they don't wanna be the one asking, "which floor?". or maybe their fingers are preoccupied to be pressing.

students are made to stay for hours after stipulated times. to perfect their maths and science, such young age(not including private tuition). if only the extra hours are made to read philosophy, sociology, poetry or languages. why introduce these subjects at an age too old?

A's they may score, not knowing banana trees only bear fruit once, or belgians do not speak belgese.
