beginner's luck, or the lack thereof...

i never gambled. for the first time, i was contemplating on betting, when i passed by the betting counter. i have this strong 'gut feeling' and 'intuition' that the danes will win the swedes tonight.
in the Alchemist, Paolo Coelho describes the principle of favorability. he says, "when u play cards the first time, u are almost sure to win. beginner's luck... because there is a force that wants you to realise your destiny; it whets your appetite with a taste of success."
but my entrepreneurial vision was repelled vehemently by kopi. "don't start if u haven't!" said he.
alrite, so stretched our muscles we did, to invigorate our heart to pump more blood thru our veins, because we are embarking on our cardiovascular enterprise(4km nite run)
halfway thru the run, i realised my pouch was unzipped. upon completing equipment check, i realised 20 quids had managed to emancipate themselves from my Lowe alpine.

now i wonder what will that fortunate homo sapien do to my quids. will it be generated and multiplied, courtesy of the stone's throw betting counter???
